About Me
There are dreamers and there are doers. I'm absolutely a dreamer and try my damnedest to be a doer. I graduated with my Master of Arts in English Literature from the University of Arkansas in 2017 and have since applied myself as a freelance writer and marketing professional.
I'm an avid reader, video game player, and movie watcher. I'm currently falling in love with John Williams through his masterpiece, Butcher's Crossing. My two favorite authors are probably Coetzee and Hemingway and my favorite book is A River Runs Through It. If I had to watch one movie everyday for the rest of my life, it would probably be A Knight's Tale or something Miyazaki. My all-time favorite video game is a tossup between The Witcher III and Mass Effect.
I'm a sucker for splendid stories, I'm quick to cry during movies, and have been known to play D&D from time to time. Above all this, I am a writer currently working on several personal projects (hopefully one of them will eventually make it big). For now, I write freelance and am always looking for another gig.I live in Denver, Colorado with my stunningly talented girlfriend, where we both dream big (like The Typewrites stuff) and spend weekends exploring the mountains.

My Writing Philosophy
While I'm confident in my abilities, I rarely believe in the perfect first draft. Writing is an iterative practice, especially in relation to content writing and collaborative projects. Because of this, I believe communication to be the primary focus of any decent freelance writer. I can't promise I'll always write the perfect piece, but I can promise to edit and rewrite until it's exactly what the client wants.
Writing is an art, a science, and a social trade. To me, it is a way to express and build community, and freelance writing offers endless opportunity for growth and learning. Every topic (new and experienced) provides perspective and a better understanding of our world.
